Managing a fleet program for a landscape firm is not that different from running a race team – it’s just a matter of scale, said Jeff Veraldi, who joined DeSantis Landscapes as Fleet Manager. The same attention to performance and efficiency is critical.
Jeff is a former Motorsports competitor and uses the same approach to winning when it comes to the trucks and trailers in the combined DeSantis fleet. He says a highly-trained mechanical team is a huge advantage when you need to fix minor issues before they become major problems. The right expertise means things get fixed in minutes, not weeks.
Jeff works out of the company’s new fleet hub in Sherwood, Oregon and manages a growing inventory of vehicles, landscape and snow equipment, accessories and tools.
“It’s exciting to be at DeSantis Landscapes at a time when there’s a technical revolution in energy management. I look forward to helping our team find ways to reduce carbon emissions, future-proof our existing fleet, and have our vehicle and equipment strategy be at the forefront of safety technology.”
Jeff started with DeSantis in summer 2023 and said he loves Oregon’s seasons. He hails North County San Diego, California where he was involved with many different race teams from desert off-road to road racing. He spent years working in metal fabrication and welding, and was a key builder for an EV start-up. Jeff’s vast experience and GM product knowledge make him a perfect choice.
Pedal to the metal, Jeff. Welcome to the team.
