DeSantis Landscapes is pleased to announce the appointment of Duncan Bickmore as nursery sales and plant procurement manager.
In his new role, Bickmore will be based at the firm’s 15-acre nursery operation in Cornelius, Oregon, an operation that includes several greenhouses and a potting station. The nursery currently specializes in growing ground cover and bioswale plants, and has plans to scale.
“Duncan’s unique knowledge of plant production and performance will make him an integral part of our operation,” said VP Operations, Bryan Gyllen. “His passion for plant production makes him a strong resource for us as we meet an increasing demand for environmentally-resilient plant material.”
Bickmore previously served as assistant general manager at Cascadian Nurseries in Hillsboro, Oregon and at Al’s Gardens & Home in Wilsonville.
He earned a Master of Science Degree in Conservation and Biodiversity from the University of Exeter in England, where did field work at the Royal Botanic Kew Gardens, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Horticulture from BYU Idaho.
